Privacy Policy

How ChannelDetective handles account, usage and public YouTube data.

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Information we process

We process information you provide when creating an account, using the research workspace or contacting us. We also store investigations, saved channels, usage events and settings necessary to provide the service.

Account security data

We store email-verification status, account status and security events such as successful or failed sign-ins. IP addresses used for security events are stored as one-way keyed hashes rather than raw addresses. Verification and extension-token secrets are stored as non-reversible hashes; a new token is displayed only once. For extension security, we also store its name, last four characters, selected permission scopes, bound Chrome Extension ID, creation, expiry and last-used timestamps.

Billing data

Payments are processed by the selected provider or independently verified by an administrator for an enabled manual method. ChannelDetective stores limited records needed to operate access, including provider references, customer and subscription identifiers where applicable, plan and status, billing periods, invoice amounts and invoice links. We do not request or store wallet PINs, recovery phrases or full card numbers.

Transactional emails and records

We use your account email to send verification, password recovery, service, welcome, payment and invoice messages. We retain operational email records such as recipient, message type, transport status, error details and timestamps, plus invoice and administrator-notification status, to operate and troubleshoot the service. SMTP credentials are restricted to administrators and the saved SMTP password is encrypted at rest.

YouTube data

ChannelDetective analyzes publicly available channel and video information through the YouTube Data API. We do not claim ownership of YouTube content. Public metrics may change or become unavailable.

Cookies and security

WordPress uses authentication and security cookies to keep signed-in sessions working. We apply reasonable safeguards, including expiring links, scoped credentials, origin binding and revocation, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Data retention and requests

We retain account and workspace data while needed to operate the service. Expired or revoked credentials may be retained as security records without retaining their original secret values. You may request access, correction or deletion by contacting ahmadsaeed4142805@gmail.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated as ChannelDetective introduces new features, billing or service providers. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
